Academic Achievement Services is Hodges University's formal academic support program. The mission of AAS is to provide immediate academic assistance to undergraduate students and to promote long-term skills-building.

To achieve its mission, Academic Achievement Services supports the following principles:
  • To provide reasonable access to academic support services
    • regularly scheduled tutoring hours with trained tutors
    • Smarthinking
    • knowledge of and access to other HU resources for academic support
    • Academic Achievement Services in Blackboard
    • Hodges University Academic Achievement Services MyHUgo team site
  • To maintain academic integrity
    • formalized approach to providing academic assistance to students
    • staff knowledge of subjects/skills
    • training program for tutors (through CRLA)
    • consistency in upholding academic standards when working with students
  • To display competence and humanity towards students who come for assistance
    • tutors knowledgeable in subjects/skills
    • sincere regard for student concerns
